Woodlawn School District is projecting about $1.1 million less revenue in its 2026-27 budget, but Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hancock said no cuts are currently necessary. About $650,000 of the reduction comes from bus loans received during the previous school year, but did not repeat this year. Even though it was a loan, it was still considered revenue coming into the district. Declining enrollment accounts for another $191,352 in lost foundation funding. Woodlawn’s average enrollment fell from 536.74 students in 2025-26 to 523 as of Aug. 28. The district will also receive less Teacher Salary Equalization funding as the state phases down the program, along with reduced federal funding. Total revenue is projected at approximately $5.5 million.
