Dorothy Jean Holland, 70, of Rison, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
She was born December 4, 1953 in Little Rock to the late Elmer Ludlam, Sr. and Jewel Dean Johnson Ludlam.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in White Hall, and was a homemaker and babysitter. Dorothy loved to do word search books, work in her yard, and spend time with her family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Gene Holland; three brothers, Billy Earl Ludlam, Tommy Ludlam, and Frankie Ludlam; and three sisters, Bonnie Nell Ludlam, Ethel Mae Cheatham, and Zora Lee Burt.
Survivors include her son, Wesley Gene Holland of Rison; brother, Elmer Ludlam of Star City; two sisters, Dorthy Faye Ludlam of Rison and Clara Bell Sparkman of New Edinburg; grandson, Timothy Jaccob Holland of Rison; daughter-in-law and caregiver, Lorie Holland of Rison; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
