WOODLAWN - Depending on how the rest of the season plays out, the seniors on this year’s Woodlawn Bears football team may have played their last game at the Carl Jones Sports Complex.
The Hermitage Hermits informed Woodlawn Monday that they are forfeiting their varsity football game that was scheduled for this Friday night, Oct. 11, at the Carl Jones Sports Complex. It was the Bears’ final home game for the regular season, and was scheduled to be Senior Night.
Woodlawn Coach Zach Meyer announced that the junior high teams are still scheduled to play, but the starting time has been moved from 5 to 6 p.m. Meyer said “Senior Night” ceremonies will be held during halftime of the junior high game.
