WOODLAWN - Six of Woodlawn's 10 hits went for extra bases as the Lady Bears blanked the Fordyce Ladybugs, 15-0, in three innings for an 8-2A conference win Tuesday afternoon at Lady Bear Field.Lily White, Kathryn Dixon and Bay Aud all had doubles in the opening frame as Woodlawn went up 4-0. Kendall Tooke also had an RBI single in the first.Doubles by Tooke and Lillie Faye McWhorter helped spark a six-run second inning that included four batters hit by pitches and two walks.The Lady Bears invoked the 15-run in the bottom of the third with five more runs.After McWhorter drew a walk to start the inning, Macy Harrison followed with a RBI triple. Chastain, Aud and Maeley Simmons followed with three straight hits to add two more runs. Aud scored off a fielder's choice before Kaycee Davis raced home on another fielder's choice to make it 15-0 to end the game.McWhorter was perfect inside the circle, striking out all nine batters she faced without giving up a hit or walk.Woodlawn improved to 19-4 overall and 4-0 in league play with the win.Woodlawn 5, Hamburg 4 WOODLAWN - Bay Aud scored the winning run off a passed ball with two out in the bottom of the seventh as the Woodlawn Lady Bears got past the Class 4A Hamburg Lady Lions, 5-4, Monday afternoon at Lady Bear Field.Woodlawn took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the third when Macy Harrison had an RBI single, Kendall Tooke scored on a wild pitch and Lillie Faye McWhorter crossed hom on Aud's ground out.Hamburg answered with a two-out, three-run homerun by Anescia Martin in the top of the fourth to tie the game, 3-3.The Lady Bears went back on top in the bottom of the fourth when Tooke had a two-out double that drove in Kathryn Dixon.Hamburg tied the game using back-to-back singles with two out in the top of the seventh to plate a run and make it 4-4.
