Countywide Volunteers Pick Up 700 lbs of Trash

RISON - The Cleveland County Master Gardeners hosted its third Cleveland County Clean Up event this past weekend sponsored by the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Foundation.According to Master Gardeners President Rosemary Sinclair, this was the best turn out for people picking up over 700-pounds of trash throughout the county.“It's good to raise awareness, we did a lot but didn't make a dent in the grand scheme of things,’ she said, referencing the need for even more clean-up along the roads.Sinclair said over 30 people volunteered to pick up trash over the weekend resulting in more than 100 bags of trash.“We are so proud of our county,” she said of their efforts this year.Participating in the clean up this year alongside Sinclair were: Richard, Laura, Thomas and Timmy Long, Jim Gray, Brantley Postma, Wes Dufek, Jimmy Cummings, Allie Fugate, Malinda Berry, Marty and Billy Bowlin, Michael Barnett, Roy Phillips, Jo Keegan, Karen and Gary Gray, Brandy Herring, Beau Herring, Les and Stacy Walz, Donna Johnston, Rebecca Richardson, Emma Lynn Inich, Lily Sipes, Lindsey Doss, Angie Kimsey and students from both Rison and Woodlawn Schools....
