Woodlawn Cross Country Teams Making Progress

The Woodlawn cross-country team is continuing to make strides this season, Coach Autumn Lem reported.She said the team recently competed in the Minuteman Day 2025 hosted by Pulaski Academy and sponsored by the Arkansas National Guard. The meet was held at Camp Robinson and included 35 teams with over 600 runners. "While they didn't bring home any medals at this event, several runners set personal records and finished within the top 25 percent of their field," Lem said.On Tuesday, Sept. 16, the team traveled to Stuttgart for the Run on the Grand Prairie. The Woodlawn Junior Lady Bears finished 4th in the team standings with one runner, Abigail Stone, placing in the top 10. All of the Junior Lady Bears placed among the top 30 runners in their race despite a stifling 95 degree temperature and full sun. The Woodawn High School Bears finished 3rd with one runner, Brayden Jones, placing in the top 10. Woodlawn's next race is the Cyclone Invitational at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27....
