The Woodlawn Lady Bears started their basketball season off strong over the past week with a record of 2-1 in their first three games. On Nov. 18, they came away with a 55-32 win at Smackover facing the Lady Buckaroos. The leading scorer for the game were Preslee Mack with 22 points and Jaci Hoyt with 17. Addison Holland added an additional six points with both Amanda Ellington and Erin Vinson with four. On Nov. 17, the Lady Bears beat the Maumelle Charter Lady Falcons, 63-51. Jaci Hoyt had 31 points while Kelsi Mack finished with 16 and Preslee Mack with 14. The Lady Bears started their season Nov. 13 with a loss to the Nemo Vista Lady Redhawks, 56-33, with Kelsi Mack contributing 10 points. Junior Lady BearsIn other hoops actions, the Junior Lady Bears played their first game on Nov. 11 at Ouachita County Harmony Grove and brought home a victory over the Lady Hornets, 24-8.
