MONTICELLO - Drew Central had a dominate first half as the Pirates handed the Rison Wildcats a 79-35 loss to open 8-3A conference play last Friday night at Monticello.The Pirates jumped out to a 24-7 lead by the end of the first quarter and were up 46-17 at the half.Kyson Walker led the ‘Cats in scoring with 17 while Kyson Fletcher followed with 10.Rison fell to 1-3 overall with the loss and 0-1 in conference play with the loss.Bauxite 62, Rison 39RISON - Rison’s Kyson Walker scored 33 points but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Bauxite Miners as the Wildcats fell 62-39 at home in a non-conference game last Tuesday, Dec. 9.The ‘Cats trailed 10-5 at the end of the first quarters before the Miners pulled out to a 28-14 advantage by the half. Bauxite took control with a 27-9 third quarter to take a 55-23 lead into the final period.Walker was 14-of-19 at the free throw line, hitting 8-of-9 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter....
