MONTICELLO - Eight Junior Lady Wildcats scored as Rison dominated the Dermott Junior Lady Rams, 34-2, in the first round of the Ray’s Tournament Saturday at Drew Central High School in Monticello.Rison raced out to a 23-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Londyn Roshell led the Junior Lady ‘Cats in scoring with nine points followed by Bryleigh Billings and Kenlei Whitaker with six apiece.Rison is scheduled to take on Monticello Wednesday in the next round of the tournament.Rison 41, Bearden 10BEARDEN - Rison took control early as the Junior Lady Wildcats throttled the Bearden Junior Lady Bears, 41-10, in non-conference action last Thursday at Bearden.The Junior Lady ‘Cats jumped out to a 16-2 lead at the end of the first quarter before stretching it to a 29-4 advantage by halftime.Rison had eight players score in the game with Lauryn Roshell leading the way with nine. Kenlei Whitaker and Bryleigh Billings both had six points apiece.Rison 43, Lake Village 13RISON - Rison had a dominant first half as the Junior Lady Wildcats hammered the Lake Village Junior Lady Beavers, 43-13, in an 8-2A conference game Jan. 6 at the Rison Gym.Railynn Smith scored six of her team-high nine points in the first quarter as Rison built a 13-2 by the end of the opening period.
