MIDWAY, Ark. - Woodlawn struggled out of the gate as the Ouachita Lady Warriors built an early double-digit lead before cruising to a 65-35 win over the Lady Bears in an 8-2A conference game last Friday at Ouachita.The Lady Warriors were up 16-4 lead by the end of the first quarter before Woodlawn found some offense to trail 31-16 at the half. Ouachita responded in the second half, scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter to come away with a 30-point victory.Jaci Hoyt had 11 for the Lady Bears followed by Kelsi Mack and Preslee Mack with 10 apiece.The Lady Bears fell to 3-2 in conference play and 7-8 overall after the loss.Woodlawn 54, Junction City 42WOODLAWN - Jaci Hoyt scored 25 points and Presslee Mack followed with 18 as the Woodlawn Lady Bears overcame an early deficit before taking the lead by halftime before stretching it over the final two frames for a 54-42 win over the Junction City Lady Dragons in 8-2A confernce action last Friday night at the Woodlawn Gym.Junction City was up 17-12 to start the second when Woodlawn outscored the Lady Dragons 15-6 to take a 27-23 lead at halftime.
