Rison (1-0) will be without All-Conference senior running back Kyson Walker when the Wildcats host Harmony Grove at 7 p.m. tonight at George Walker Field of Champions. Walker suffered a shoulder injury in last week’s 48-20 win over DeWitt and will be held out through next week’s open date. Coach Chris Vereen hopes Walker could return Sept. 18 against Junction City, but his status will be evaluated at that time. Harmony Grove (0-1) enters the game after a 45-0 loss to Junction City under new head coach William “Bud” Chambliss last week. Vereen said his priorities for the game will be limiting turnovers, explosive plays and missed tackles.
