The Woodlawn Junior Bears (0-1) will host the Augusta Junior Red Devils at 7 p.m. tonight in a non-conference game at the Carl Jones Sports Complex. The Woodlawn Bears’ varsity team will be idle tonight since Augusta is not fielding a senior high team for the second year in a row. The Junior Bears will try to bounce back from a disappointing 30-24 loss to the South Side-Bee Branch Junior Hornets last week. Woodlawn saw a two-score lead disappear in the fourth quarter as South Side capitalized on two turnovers and 146 penalty years against the Junior Bears. Woodlawn Coach Doug Means said the varsity and junior high teams will host the Rose Bud Ramblers next Friday, Oct. 11. He said it was a late addition to the schedule to help make up losing the Augusta varsity game.
