Audie Mae was born Audie Mae Taylor on Christmas day 1925 to Etta Von Jones Taylor and Winnie Marcel Taylor in Stave Community, Cleveland County Arkansas.

She attended Cleveland County Schools and after graduation moved to Pine Bluff. She worked at a Varity store to fi‐nance a course at Draughons business school.

After business school she was employed by Southwestern Bell’s Pine Bluff district as the district managers executive secretary. She wanted to attend college and saved her money. After two years the manager created a position for her as a telephone operator in Monticello where Arkansas A & M college is located. Her 1:00 PM till 9:00 PM shift allowed her to ride the shuttle bus from col‐lege to Monticello and return on the 9 o’clock movie bus back to campus. She started college in January 1948 an received a busi‐ness degree. Later in the early 70s she returned to college and earned a Master Degree in English from East Texas in Commerce Early in her first semester at Monticello she asked one of her dorm mates if she knew someone who could tutor her in algebra. Her friend recommended her cousin. This is how she met her future husband. She and Calvin E. Grubbs were married on De‐cember 25th 1950, her birthday.

They were blessed with four children, Edwin Andrew, Nancy and Susan.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, sister Juanita Taylor Clinton, brother Charles Marcel Taylor, daughter Susan Jane Grubbs Scolaro and nephew Hurley Clinton Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, son’s Edwin(Re‐becca), Andrew, daughter Nancy. Granddaughters, Miranda, Char‐risa( Jacob), and Courtney Grubbs. Grandson’s Mark (Katelyn), Kevin (Jessica), Jack(Carolyn) Scolaro. Greatgrand children Ma‐son, Lucas and Evan Gorham.

Audie Mae’s life was a mag‐nificent journey, she was able to see and do things beyond her wildest dreams as a child.

Her life ended peacefully Fri‐day August 8 while listening to a music therapist softly playing a Hank Williams song.
