Cleveland County Football 2022, the Herald’s annual football tabloid previewing the upcoming high school football season, can be found in this week’s issue of the newspaper.
The tabloid includes previews of the Rison Wildcats and Woodlawns, feature stories, photos of players, the band and cheerleaders; rosters, schedules and more. A digital version will be published on the website at clevelandcountyherald.com so anyone will be able to read it.
This year’s Cleveland County Football includes a feature story on the 1982 Rison Wildcats, who after starting the season with a 3-3 record, turned it around late to win the Class A state title.
There is also a story on new Woodlawn Coach Zach Meyer, who hopes to build a culture like that of his two mentors, Marion Glover and Jimmy “Red” Parker.
