Scooter Gwinn

Larry Lee “Scooter” Gwinn, Jr., 51, of Woodlawn went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. He was born October 22, 1970 in Fordyce, Arkansas. Scooter retired from the National Guard as a Staff Sergeant with the 39th Infantry Regiment, after 23 years of service and two tours in Iraq. He was currently a dispatcher for the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father Larry Lee Gwinn, Sr., his grandparents, Herschel and Lillie Gwinn, Albert and Oma Brown and his great-nephew Sawyer Socia. He is survived by his parents Marilyn Gwinn and Jack Rodgers, siblings, Scotty Gwinn and his wife Jennifer of Woodlawn, LaDonna Rieger and her husband Shawn of Jacksonville, TX, nieces and nephews, Katie Socia and her husband Jacob, Rachel Rachel and her husband Luke, Zachary Gwinn and Phillip Rieger, great niece and nephews, Braylie Socia, Tucker Socia and Zeke Rachel. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Linda and Randy Gatlin of Sheridan and Virgil and Beverly Gwinn of Sheridan. Funeral services were Friday, October 7, 2022, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
