WOODLAWN - Woodlawn Junior High girls and boys cross country teams traveled to El Dorado to compete in the El Dorado Wildcat Invitational this past Saturday, Oct. 1, on a 1.7-mile track.
Coach Sydney Adair reported the junior boys finished second place overall.
Jude Roberts (9th grade) finished 4th place out of 61 runners with time of 10:17. Daniel Norton (9th grade) was 6th overall with time of 10:23.
Other top competitors were Isaac Lowe (9th grade) finishing 11th place with time of 10:41. Gavin Edmonds (8th grade) finishing 12th place with time of 10:49. Mark Adams (8th grade) finishing 18th place with time of 11:27.
For the Woodlawn Junior Lady Bears, the top competitors were Preslee Mack (7th grade) with time of 13:17, Erin Vinson (8th grade) with time of 14:43, and Jailyn Wright (9th grade) with time of 14:52.
Moro Boy Invitational
The Woodlawn junior girls and boys cross country teams traveled to Jersey to compete in the Moro Bay Invitational on Sept. 24.
The Junior Bears finished 2nd overall.
Jude Roberts (9th grade) finished 2nd place overall out of 56 runners. He had a time of 12:54. Daniel Norton (9th grader) finished 5th overall with a time of 13:15.
Other top competitors include Gavin Edmonds (8th grade) with a time of 13:59, and Isaac Lowe (9th grade) with a time of 14:35.
The top finisher for the Woodlawn junior girls wasPreslee Mack (7th grader), who finished in the top 20 with a time of 17:38.
