Junior Lady Hermits Rally Past Junior Lady Bears, 25-22

WOODLAWN - Hermitage used its size advantage down low in the second half to overcome a 16-point halftime deficit as the Junior Lady Hermits rallied for a 25-22 win over the Woodlawn Junior Lady Bears last Friday night at Woodlawn. After going up 8-2 at the end of the first quarter, Woodlawn outscored Hermitage 16-6 in the second to take a comfortable 24-8 cushion into the halftime break. Junior Lady Bears Coach Logan Adair said Hermitage had two big post players that were too much for them to handle in the second half as the Junior Lady Hermits won the third quarter 11-2 before taking the victory with a 6-2 fourth quarter. Kelsi Mack had 12 points for Woodlawn while Preslee Mack had six. Woodlawn fell to 7-3 overall with the loss. Glen Rose 34, Woodlawn 18 Glen Rose used a 7-0 run in the second quarter to grab the lead at halftime, and then won both quarters of the second half as the Junior Lady Beavers pulled away for a 34-18 win over the Woodlawn Junior Lady Bears.
