RISON - Rison Wildcat quarterback/safety/kicker Blaine Dixon has been selected to play on the Arkansas High School Coaches Association's All-Star football game to be held as part of the All-Star games June 23-24 at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
The All-Star Games pit the top senior athletes from all sports and all classifications against one another in an All-Star game format. Dixon will be playing for the East All-Stars.
Dixon earned All-State honorable mention and was first team All-Conference this year after help guide the 11-1 Wildcats to the Class 3A semifinals before eventually falling to eventual state champion Charleston.
Dixon was thrust into the quarterback role this season following an injury to starter Owen Morrison. He was a key defensive leader for thhe Wildcats as well.
