RISON - The Rison Wildcats won five of the eight weight classifications they competed in at the Harmony Grove Weightlifting Invitational held recently at Camden Harmony Grove High School.
Lifters were ranked in their weight classifications by the combined total of their lifts in the bench press and power clean.
Those winning their weight classifications included Logan Grubb in the 123-pound class with a total lift of 385 lbs.; D.J. Kines in the 148-pound class with a total lift of 445 lbs.; Steven Shaddock in the 165pound class with a total lif of 465 lbs.; Ryan Cottrell in the 242-pound class with a total lift of 510 lbs.; and Trevion "Tank" Johnson in the Heavy class with a total lift of 570 lbs.
Rison lifters were second in three other classifications. Bradyn Dupuy was second in the 198-pound class with a total lift of 550 lbs.; Roger Boswell was second in the 220-pound class with at total lift of 480 lbs.; And Braden Matthews was second in the 259-ppimd classification with a toal lift of 470 lbs.
The state weightlifting meet will be held in April.
