El Dorado Beats Rison

EL DORADO - The Class 5A El Dorado Wildcats cashed in on some timely hitting and msiques by the Rison Wildcats as they posted a 13-1 victory in six innings Monday in non-conference play at El Dorado. After a scoreless first inning, El Dorado plate three runs in the second off a couple of doubles, and then added two more in the third off two singles and a walk. El Dorado broke the game open with a six-run fourth inning that included a single, a hit batter, a walk and three Rison errors. Rison's Jud Terry scored on a passed ball for the Wildcats' lone run in the top of the fifth to make it 11-1. El Dorado's final two runs came off a single in the bottom of the sixth. Rison had some scoring opportunities throughout the game, but could not punch them in. The visiting Wildcats put at least one runner aboard in every inning but the seventh. Blaine Dixon had a perfect day at the plate going 3-for-3 for Rison. Owen Morrison, Andrew Couture, Matthew Howard and Ayden Laws all had hits against El Dorado. Terry started on the mound and went two innings, giving up two hits and two walks while striking out three. Dixon pitched the next two innings giving up three hits and three walks with one strikeout while Morrison finished off the final two, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out three. ...
