WOODLAWN - Hamburg pulled away in the second half as the Class 4A Lady Lions handed the Woodlawn Lady Bears their second loss of the season, 66-44, last Thursday at the Woodlawn Gym.
Hamburg was leading 17-12 at the end of the first quarter before using an 18-8 run in the second period to stretch it to a 35-20 advantage by halftime. The Lady Lions continued to pull away in the second half to post the 22point victory.
Kathryn Dixon had 14 for the Lady Bears while Anna Fitzbiggon and Lilie McWhorter had 10 apiece. Woodlawn fell to 3-2 overall with the loss.
