HEADED TO THE JAIL HOUSE - A front-end loader from the Cleveland County Road Department prepares to unload a new set of custom-built jail doors that were delivered last Thursday morning to the courthouse. The doors will be used in the renovation of the county jail located inside the Joe Paul King Law Enforcement Center. In September, the quorum court approved spending $292,450 to renovate the county jail to keep it in compliance with state jail standards. Detention Services, LLC of San Antonio, Texas, was awarded the bid to not only replace the jail doors and fixtures, but also the electrical system. Sheriff Jack Rodgers told the Cleveland County Quorum Court earlier this month that he expects the renovation work to begin after the doors arrived.
