RISON - The Rison Wildcats will go into next week's 8-2A District Tournament at Woodlawn as either a no. 6 or no. 7 seed pending the outcome of Friday night's game against county rival Woodlawn.
The Wildcats dropped both of their 8-2A conference games last week, falling to Fordyce, one of the top teams in the league, by a 62-52 margin last Thursday and then getting knocked off at home by Ouachita, 74-32, last Friday.
Rison is currently 1-20 overall and 1-10 in conference play. The Wildcats split with sixth-place Gurdon this year after the 'Cats lost 63-50 on Dec. 12 at Gurdon before blowing out the Go Devils 52-35 on Jan. 26 at home.
