FORDYCE - Fordyce manufactured 12 runs off 12 hits as the Redbugs handed Rison a 12-1 loss in the Wildcats' 8-2A conference Tuesday afternoon at Fordyce.The 'Bugs used a couple of two-out singles to plate two runs in the bottom of the first before adding three more in the second off two singles and a double to make it 5-0.Rison scored a run in the top of the fifth when Canon Cope had a lead-off double and his courtesy runner, A. Ellis, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Owen Morrison. James Jacobs grounded out to score Ellis to make it 5-1.Fordyce, however, came back in the bottom of the fifth to use five hits, three walks and an error to plate seven runs and take a 121 lead.Matthew Howard had a twoout double in the top of the fifth and then Andrew Couture reached on an to put Wildcats at the corners. However, a strikeout ended the threat and the game ended by the 10-run rule.Couture had two hits for Rison while Howard, Cope and Brock Southerland had one apiece.Owen Morrison started for Rison, going one and one-third innings before giving way to Mason Weaver for one and two-third innings.
