Bobby Earl Woods, 76, of Rison, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
He was born December 25, 1947 in Rison to the late Harry Edward Woods and Claudie Harden Woods.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Byron Woods, his sister, Sharon Corrine Saunders, and his son, Brady Lamar Burke.
Mr. Woods was a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, and never missed an opportunity to witness to others. He would carry canned drinks in an ice chest in the back of his truck and give them to strangers and used this as a way to witness to others about the Lord. He enjoyed antique cars and would attend the Petit Jean Car Show every summer. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. He had a love for life and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Jobeth Billingsley and her husband Jeffrey, and Kelli Watkins and her husband Wesley, grandchildren, Carson and Hudson Billingsley, Dalton, Kayleigh and Aubree Burke, Flora and Fiona Watkins, his siblings, Harry Bartley Woods and his wife Mae, Lillie E. King, Laverne Woods, Dianne Woods, and Marshall Woods and numerous nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Bro. Brian Roberts officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
