Betty St. John King of New Edinburg, Arkansas passed away on July 13, 2024. 

She was born to Harvey and Adelle St. John on May 16, 1934, in New Edinburg, AR. 

She attended New Edinburg Public School District and graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Arkansas AandM College. Ms. Betty taught school for the better of 25 years at New Edinburg, Kingsland and Watson Chapel School Districts. 

Ms. Betty married Marvin King in November of 1954. Born to them were two sons, Randall King and Paul King (Laura). Together they enjoyed 3 beautiful grandchildren Jacob King (Lacy), Ashley Korzeniewski (Tom), and Rachel De-Priest (Josh) and two beautiful great grandchildren Taylor Kate DePriest and Phillip Everet King. Ms. Betty spoiled her grandchildren and was well on her way to spoiling the great grandchildren. Ms. Betty was a Christian and a long time member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. 

The family thanks their pastor Bro. Ware and Lynne Russell for kindness they have shown during her illness. 

Ms. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, one son Randall King and one grandson James Chance King. Ms. Betty and Mr. Marvin are blessed to have so many neighbors in their great community and they are thankful for their adopted children Jimmy and Shirley Lankford.

Visitation was held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, with graveside services at McCoy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to McCoy Cemetery. The family thanks you for your kindness and prayers during this time.
