Bo James, 67, of Rison, was a hardworking, giving and honorable man who never took shortcuts, whether it was in his work life or home life.
He passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
Born Alan Ray "Bo" James on October 29, 1955, in McKinney, Texas, he was a son of LeVerne James, Sr and Betty Jean Milner James.
Bo enjoyed football, especially when it came to the Dallas Cowboys, his dogs and seeing his granddaughter grow through life..
He worked on a farm and drove a truck for many years. Bo was probably best known for his time as a bus driver and maintenance worker at Rison High School for many years.
Along with his parents, Bo was preceded in death by a son, Alan James, Jr.; and a brother, Larry James.
Survivors include his son, Connor James of White Hall; brothers, David (Phyllis) James of Gunter, Texas, LeVerne James (Vickie) of Ivanhoe, Texas and Gary James of Prosper, Texas; sister, LaVonne Pell (Gary) of Sherman, Texas; and his beloved granddaughter, Nova Elise James.
A memorial service may be held at a later date.
