Cora Ann Morris, 82, passed away June 8, 2023.
She was born April 14, 1941, to Sam Henry Morris and Rosie Lee (Williams) Morris in Rison, Arkansas.
She was the second born of 4 siblings: Sammie Lee Morris, Charlie Ann Morris and Kent Deran Morris.
Cora accepted Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church in Rison Arkansas, where she previously served as an usher.
She attended and graduated from Lanwood School in Rison Arkansas.
Cora worked several years in the garment industry. She worked for Ben Pearson in Pine Bluff, AR and Rison Garment Factory in Rison, AR. In 1999, she became a CNA and worked at Cleveland County Nursing Home/Green House Cottages until her retirement. She was known to be a very caring worker and was much appreciated by her residents and their families.
Cora was a major influence to many that were blessed to come through her presence. She was an Aunt, Granny, Sister, Friend. She loved cruising, gardening and was always fashionable with some bling.
Cora was preceded in death by her Parents, Maternal Grandparents, Ike and Cora Williams; Paternal Grandparents, Webster and Lillie Morris; Brothers, Sammie Lee Morris; Kent Deran Morris; Sister-n-law Rosie Lee Morris; Nephews, Billy Ray Ballard, Sr and Lawrence Arthur Morris; and a special Niece, Cayce Ryan Madden.
She leaves to cherish, Sister: Charlie Ann Morris of Milwaukee, WI; Nieces: Penecia (Penny) Morris of Rison Arkansas, Delechia (Timothy) Johnson of Milwaukee WI, Chandra Morris of Milwaukee, WI, Klesie Morris of Milwaukee, WI, Debra(Ronnie) Lewis, of Milwaukee, WI, Terri (Duke) Morris-Allen, Sabrina Ivory of Flint MI, Nephew, Keith Morris of Alexander, AR; Sister-n-Law, Rita McClain-Walker; Sister in Love, Valarie Annette Holmes, lifelong friends Joann Ross-Jordan, Ozella Lee, Ruby Powell-Anderson and many others, too many others to name, many cousins, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral Services were June 12 at First Baptist Church Rison with Rev. Terry Reams officiating by Paradise Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
