Danny Ray Howard, 67, of Rison, died Monday January 12, 2026 at the Greenhouse Cottages in Rison.
He was born June 5, 1958 in Warren, a son of the late Hughie Kimbrell and Shirley Ezell Howard.
Danny Ray was employed with Smart Chevrolet for 25 years and a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church. Danny Ray was a 1976 graduate of Warren High School and a member of Macedonia Deer Camp, where he and his family loved to be apart of.
Also preceding him in death was his wife, Penny Whitten Howard whom he married September 8, 1979 and she tragically passed away September 17, 2019.
Survivors include his son, Tony Howard and spouse Marcie, Rison, and his daughter Whitney Howard Bradford and spouse Derek, Hampton; Brother, Ricky Kimbrell and wife Lisa Kimbrell, Louisiana, and sister, Jennifer White and spouse Jeff White of Wilmar. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Brock Southerland, Brody Howard, Trent Southerland, Kase Gober, Maeleigh Norton, Kolbie Rae Johnson, and Pennlee Howard, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and good friends.
Funeral services were Thursday January 15 at Frazer’s Chapel. Burial was in Prosperity Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
