Donald Lorenzo VonTungeln of Weed, California, passed away peacefully in his daughter, Suzannes home, on January 23, 2026 at 86 years old.

Donald was born in Rison, Arkansas, on October 14, 1939 to John and Neoma VonTungeln where he then spent his youth.

After graduating high school he then served in the U.S. Navy for four years before moving to Weed, California, where he would reside for the remainder of his life. He spent the remainder of his career working at the local timber mill.

He married his wife Alice in 1959 and had three children, Suzanne, Mark, and Steven. He was heavily involved in Grace Presbyterian Church as faith was an integral part of Donald's life.

Donald was well known for his work ethic, his generosity, and unwavering love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold VonTungeln and Neoma VonTungeln; his siblings, Ronad, Jimmy Dale, J.H., Billy Ray and Betty Lou; and his grandchildren, Amanda VonTungeln and Evan Claver.

Survivors include his sister, Doris Workman; his sister-in-law, Jeanette VonTungeln; his sibling’s children, Suzanne Skeen, Mark and Stebven VonTungeln; his daughter-in-law Aimee VonTungeln; his grandchildren Ashton, Jackson Murphy, Christopher, Alexa, Justin and Olivia VonTungeln; and his great-grandchildren, Calvin Murphy, Ava Boatwright, Nadia and Evelyn VonTungeln.

A memorial service will be eld at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 11, 2026, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1090 North Davis Avenue, Weed, California.
