Evelyn Lorice Mosley, 87, of Monticello, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home.

She was born April 19, 1937, in Rison, to the late Jimmy Earl Threlkeld and Dovie Jeanette Simmons Threlkeld.

She was the widow of Cecil Wilmer Mosley, a homemaker and member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Evelyn loved going to church and the Senior Citizens Center, reading, quilting, singing, fishing, cooking for her family and preparing for family get-togethers.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas Paul Mosley; a grandson, Kenneth Earl Mosley, Jr.; two brothers, Clinton Threlkeld and Jimmy Morgan Threlkeld; and one sister, Barbara Ann Bussell.

Survivors include her five sons, Edward Mosley and wife Kathy of White Hall, Cecil Mosley and wife Robin of Sheridan, Danny Mosley and wife Patricia of Rison, Joe Mosley and wife Debbie of Woodlawn, and Kenneth Earl Mosley of Monticello; three daughters, Deon Wells and husband Alvin of Dermott, Sharon Williams and husband Carroll of Fordyce, and Dovie Pulley of Monticello; one loving sister, Gladys Smith of Warren; 11 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel in Monticello. Burial was in Earnest Cemetery in Hampton.
