Helen Edith Rundell, was born on January 8, 1937, in Rison, Arkansas. She peacefully passed away on November 22, 2024, in Newark.
Throughout her life, Helen was known for her vibrant spirit and her deep love for music.
Helen cherished the joy of attending concerts and was an avid traveler, always seeking new experiences and adventures. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious, often inspiring those around her to embrace their passions, just as she did with hers. She also found pleasure in shopping, a pastime that allowed her to enjoy the little joys of life.
Helen's legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her son, Steve Lightsey, and his wife, Tanya; her son, Dennis Lightsey; and her cherished grandchildren, Colton, Holly, and Dakota Lightsey.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Joe Rundell, as well as her parents, Tom Leopard and Myrtle Leopard, who undoubtedly instilled in her the values of love and perseverance that she carried throughout her life.
Helen will be remembered not only for her passions but for the kindness and warmth she shared with everyone she met.
