James William Launius, 80, of Grapevine, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025.
Born on September 14, 1945, in Tinsman, Arkansas, to the late Charles Andrew Launius and Lessie May Nix, James spent 20 year as an Aircraft Mechanic for the United States Air Force, and had an avid love for fishing.
He retired from Sheridan School District as a mechanic working on buses.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of over 30 years, Vera Lee (Morris) Launius, whom he married December of 1989; daughter, Vickie Sullivant, of Grapevine, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parent, a brother, and a sister.
