John Raymond Coats, 42, of Woodlawn passed away Mon‐day, August 8, 2022 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
He was born January 16, 1980 in Pine Bluff to the late Donald Coy and Sheila Adams Coats.
John was a stocker for Wal-Mart, an avid video gamer and comic book reader, loved to watched movies and YouTube, and loved spending time with his wife and family, especially his nieces and nephews and his fur babies.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Puckett Coats of Wood‐lawn; sisters, Brandy Wolfe of Warren and Deana (Scott) Bond of Sheridan; aunts, Marty (James) Erwin of Rison and Hortense (Paul) Kirkpatrick of Woodlawn; mother-in-law, Robin Puckett of Woodlawn; sis‐ter in-law, Lindsey (Joe) Puckett of Woodlawn; nieces and neph‐ews, Jacob Wolfe, Lexci Purifoy, Zion Purifoy, and Anayla Puri‐foy; fur babies, Foxy, Xena, Prince and Snoopy; and numer‐ous other family members.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022 at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Leopard officiating. Visi‐tation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial at Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Shu‐make, Donnie Green, Jacob Wolfe, Joey Chastain, Mitch Johnson, Dakota Johnson, and Joseph Thomas. Honorary pall‐bearers are Zion Purifoy, Todd Brewster, and Mike Johnson.
