Elizabeth “Liz” Woolley Robertson, 76 of Star City, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at her home.
She was born June 24, 1946 in Woodlawn to the late Olen and Helen McFarland Woolley.
She was a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Church Clerk for many years; was a sales representative for National Wire/National Filtration for 38 years and was a bookkeeper at Southern Specialty for 10 years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Philip Ray Robertson; and a brother, James Woolley.
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Burl Dean Robertson of Star City; son, Keith (Melissa) Robertson of Star City; 5 brothers, William Paul (Paulette) Woolley, J. L. (Clara) Woolley, Robert (Pam) Woolley, Charles (Deborah) Woolley, and David (Jan) Woolley, all of Woodlawn; sister, Sylvia (Jimmie) Boyd of Woodlawn; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Robertson and Josie Robertson; sister-in-law, Shirlene Harris of White Hall; nephew, John (Nicole) Harris of White Hall; and close friends, Sammie and Teresa Conrad, Aubrey Lynn and Abby Conrad, Karen Wynn, and Christian Scoles.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Cody Andrews officiating. Burial at Holly Springs Cemetery. Nephews will be pallbearers.
