Peggy Ann King, 70, of Woodlawn, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at her home.
She was born June 5, 1952 in Rison to the late Joe B. Stewart and Juanice Vinson Stewart.
She was a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church, she retired from Area Agency of Rison and was a RN for 30 years. Her grandchildren were her world. Some of her hobbies include cooking, canning, camping, spending time with her family and church family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Joe Stewart and John B. Stewart.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Larry D. King of Woodlawn; a son, Kevin Vance (Brandy) King of White Hall; a daughter, Kelley Ann Cruce of Crossett; four brothers, Rodger (Jewel) Stewart of Woodlawn, Gary Stewart of Rowell, Bobby (Oneita) Stewart of Boonesboro, KY, and Ricky Joe (Sonya) Stewart, Jr. of Herbine; three sisters, Becky (Joe Don) McClain of Rye, Debbie (Kenneth) McClain of Rye, and Sherry (Charlie) Hoover of Rowell; six grandchildren, Cristian Haynes, Anastacia Haynes, Austin Cruce, Aiden Webb, Alexis King, and Addison Cruce; and one great-grandchild, Ezra Haynes.
Funeral services were Friday, December 23, 2022 at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with Dr. Michael Stroh officiating. Burial at Butler/Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tyler Payne, Charlie Hoover, Danial McClain, Derek McClain, Kenneth McClain, Bobby Stewart, Ricky Stewart, Jr., Joe Don McClain, and Rodger Stewart.
