WOODLAWN - Faith Hisaw hit five 3-pointers to finish with 17 points as the Woodlawn Lady Bears ended a two-game skid with a 59-24 rout of the Hermitage Lady Hermits last Friday night at the Woodlawn Gym.
The Lady Bears got off to a red-hot start, leading 22-4 by the end of the first quarter and pulled away from there.
Freshman Jaci Hoyt had nine for the Lady Bears, who improved to 2-3 overall with the win.
In other action, the Poyen Lady Indians used a fourth-quarter run to get past the Lady Bears on Saturday, while the Glen Rose Lady Beavers pulled away in the second half for a 45-29 victory on Nov. 29. Hoyt and Anna Fitzgibbon had seven points apiece against the Lady Beavers while Kathryn Dixon had five.
Class 4A Bauxite got off to a 16-4 before rolling to a 61-24 win over the Lady Bears in the first round of the Bill Gibbs Memorial Tournament on Nov. 28 at Haskell Harmony Grove. Lillie McWhorter had nine points for Woodlawn.
