HARMONY GROVE - The Harmony Grove Hornets banked in three 3-pointers in the last 8 minutes of the game as they got past the Woodlawn Junior Bears, 35-31, in the season opener last Monday, Nov. 11.Woodlawn got off to a good start, leading 12-5 at the end of the opening period before Harmony Grove closed it to 17-14 at the half.The Junior Bears were still up 23-21 to start the fourth quarter but the bank shots turned out to be the difference at the end of the game.Blake Heflin had eight points to lead Woodlawn followed by Duke Scott with seven. Blake Heflin had two 3-pointers while Luke Heflin and Carter Vinson had one apiece.Woodlawn 36, Maumelle Charter 33WOODLAWN - Britt Swan scored a career-high 19 points as the Woodlawn Junior Bears rallied late to pull out a 36-33 win over the Maumelle Charter Junior Falcons Monday night at the Woodlawn gym.The Junior Bears were trailing until Blake Heflin hit two free throws in the final minute to give Woodlawn a lead it would never relinquish.
