Jr. Lady Bears Post Wins

GURDON - Woodlawn got off to a nice start and pulled away from there as the Junior Lady Bears knocked off the Gurdon Junior Lady Go Devils, 36-21, ion 8-2A conference action last Friday at Gurdon. The Junior Lady Bears were up 7-2 at the end of the first quarter and stretched that lead to 17-6 by halftime. Kendall Tooke had 13 points to lead the Woodlawn scorers while seventh grader Preslee Mack had nine. The Lady Bears improved to 4-1 in league play with the win, and had a chance to win the 8-2A regular season championship with a win over Parkers Chapel at home Tuesday night. Woodlawn 46, Smackover 8 SMACKOVER - The Woodlawn Junior Lady Bears dominated from the start as they blew out the Smackover Junior Lady Buckaroos, 46-8, in a non-conference game last Monday, Jan. 30, at Smackover.
