RISON - A 30-yard touchdown pass on the final play of the first half gave Rison a comfortable 20-point halftime lead, and the Junior Wildcats went on to post a 28-8 victory over the Harmony Grove Junior Hornets in a 6-3A Conference contest at George Walker Field of Champions Thursday night of last week.
The Wildcats, 2-0 in the conference and 4-1 overall, their only loss to undefeated Stuttgart of Class 4A, will be on the road this Thursday night for a crucial league battle with the Fordyce Junior Redbugs. Kickoff time is scheduled for 7 o'clock.

Walker, on a keeper, ran across a 2-point conversion to make it 80.
However, a 45-yard TD run and 2-point conversion by Harmony Grove knotted the score, 8-8, with 3:25 to go in the first period.

Then the 'Cats maintained ball possession, when Travis Mitchell pounced on David Lian's onsides kick at the Harmony Grove 46. With 2:36 still remaining in the first quarter, Walker raced 28 yards for a touchdown to extend Rison's advantage. But on a 2point conversion try, Kyson Fletcher was stopped short of the goalline to keep the score at 208.
