Lady Wildcats Go 1-3 at Hot Springs

HOT SPRINGS - The Rison Lady Wildcats went 1-3 at the Hot Springs Tournament last Friday and Saturday, defeating Acorn while falling to Gurdon, Tuckerman and Bismarck.Their final game was a 15-4 loss to the Bismarck Lady Lions on Saturday.Bismark put up five runs in the top of the first to build a big lead early before adding seven more in the third and another three in the fourth. Rison scored a run in the first and three in the bottom of the fourth before the game ended.Jazlyn Price, Rhagen Price, Kendly Eans and Haven Simpson all had hits for the Lady Wildcats.Rhagen Price was the staring pitcher, going one-third inning before being giving way to Shyanne Swaim, who threw the rest of the game.Rison 15, Acorn 0HOT SRINGS - Riley Hyatt went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs as the Rison Lady Wildcats blasted the Acorn Lady Tigers, 15-0, in the Hot Springs Tournament on Saturday.Hyatt’s double was part of an eight-run first inning as the Lady ‘Cats took control early.Jazlyn Price got it started with a lead-off single before Hyatt followed with her double. Two hit batters and two walks brought three runs home before the first out was recorded. Another walk, an error and a single by Hyatt plated five more before the opening frame came to a close.Hits from Haven Simpson, Claire Socia and Hyatt combined with two hit batters, four errors and a fielder’s choice added seven more runs for Rison in the second.In addition to the three hits from Hyatt, Jazlyn Price, Simpson and Socia all had singles.Shyanne Swaim got the pitching victory after holding the Lady Tigers to two hits and no walks over three innings.
