WOODLAWN - Kelsi Mack scored 14 and seventh-grader Preslee Mack had 10 as the Woodlawn Junior Lady Bears grabbed a double-digit lead early before putting away the White Hall Junior Lady Bulldogs, 36-21, in a non-conference game Nov. 15 at Woodlawn.
Woodlawn had a strong start, jumping out to a 15-5 lead by the end of the opening period before stretching it to 21-8 by the half.
Woodlawn 30, Des Arc 22
DES ARC - Woodlawn scored 24 of its 30 points in the second half as the Junior Lady Bears came back from a four-point halftime deficit to knock off the Des Arc Junior Lady Eagles 30-22 on Nov. 17 at Des Arc.
After the first quarter ended with the teams knotted up 4-4, Des Arc nudged ahead 10-6 by the halftime break.
Woodlawn found its offense in the second half, however, as the Junior Lady Bears outscored the Junior Lady Eagles 13-6 in the third quarter and 11-6 in the fourth quarter to win.
Kelsi Mack paced Woodlawn with 11 points followed by Kendall Tooke with seven and Addison Holland with six.
The Junior Lady Bears improved to 6-1 with the win.
