DES ARC - Rison once again had three players finish in double figures as the Lady Wildcats picked up their second consecutive blowout win with a 57-22 victory over the Lady Green Eagles at Des Arc.The Lady ‘Cats took control early with a 26-2 first quarter that included making eight-of-15 free throw attempts. Layne Potter and Teirra Miller both had nine points apiece in the opening period.Rison continued to pull away from there, leading 41-12 at halftime and 46-15 to start the fourth quarter.Potter hit a couple of 3-pointers in the second half to lead all scorers with 17. Miller followed with 13 while Carlese Johnson knocked down 8-of-9 at the charity stripe to finish with 12.As a team, Rison was 12-of-18 at the free throw line in the game.It was the second consecutive victory for the Lady Wildcats to win by 20 points or more. After trailing by as many as 13 in the first half against Fordyce, Rison had a huge second half to knock off the rival Ladybugs, 69-43, in a home game proceeding its trip to Des Arc.The Lady ‘Cats improved to 3-2 overall with the non-conference win.
