WOODLAWN - Garrett Weatherford went 4-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs as the Woodlawn Bears knocked off the Junction City Dragons, 15-4, in five innings Tuesday at Woodlawn.The Bears improved to 18-1 overall and 6-0 in conference play with the win.Woodlawn was trailing 3-1 entering the bottom of the second when the Bears scored nine runs with two out to take control of the game.After the first two batters were retired on pop-ups, Peyton Wells and Weatherford singled before Brayden Jones was hit by a pitch to load the bases. An error led to two runs scoring to tie it up, 3-3.Dillon Lunsford then followed with a two-run triple to center and Parker Arnold walked to put runners at the corners. An error on Aidan Johnson's ground ball allowed two more runs to score, and after another walk, Triston Bates singled to drive in another run. After another walk, Weatherford had his second single of the inning to plate another run and make it 10-3 Woodlawn.Grant Cowart had a two-run double in the third that was followed by an RBI single from Peyton Wells. Weatherford then tripled to right scoring two more to extend it to 15-3.Junction City added a run off a single in the fourth to make it a 15-4 final.Tate Hall threw the first three innings, giving up four hits and one walk while striking out two.
