White Rallies Past Black With Late TD

WOODLAWN - Sophomore quarterback Aidan Moore hit tight end Braiden Kitchens for a 13-yard touchdown pass with 28 seconds left as the White team rallied late from two scores down to edge the Black team, 14-12, in the Woodlawn Black and White scrimmage game last Friday night at the Carl Jones Sports Complex. The Black team, led by senior quarterback Jaxson Martin, con‐trolled the first half and much of the second half before the White team finally started to put it to‐gether over the final 10 minutes. The scrimmage consisted of two 20-minute halves with a running clock. Each team had three timeouts and there were no live kicks. Jaxson Martin scored the first touchdown of the scrimmage on a 40-yard burst at the 11:47 mark of the first half. Taking over at its own 20, White drove the 80 yards in 15 plays with Caleb Martin capping the march with a three-yard score. Moore ran in the two-pointer to make it 12-8 with 4:25 left in the scrimmage.
