I hope you've all had a great week! The Cleveland County Sheriff's Department has been preparing for the upcoming school year. Throughout this week, our deputies have conducted walkthroughs of school campuses to familiarize themselves with each location while meeting with faculty and staff.
As students return to school, deputies will be actively patrolling school zones, monitoring bus routes, and following school buses to help ensure the safety of the students, staff, and community. We encourage everyone to slow down, stay alert, and obey all traffic laws in and around school zones.
We have also received complaints this week regarding litter along the Saline River. We want everyone to enjoy our beautiful river and the recreational opportunities it provides, but there is zero tolerance for littering. Please do your part by properly disposing of all trash and helping keep our rivers and streams clean for everyone to enjoy.
