USDA Commodities To Be Distributed Jan. 11 at Kingsland

KINGSLAND - The Open Door Community Pantry located at 650 Hwy. 97 in Kingsland will be handing out USDA commodities from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025.Open Door Pantry usually distributes commodities on the second Saturday of each month.

Transfer Station, Courthouse To Be Closed on Jan. 1

RISON - The Cleveland County Courthouse and the Cleveland Solid Waste Transfer Station on Hwy. 79 at Rison will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, in observance of the New Year's Day holiday. Both will return to regular business hours on Thursday, Jan. 2.

Hop on Pop Blood Drive, Rison Shine BBQ Set for Jan. 7

RISON - The Hop on Pop Memorial Blood Drive will host a drive in Rison Tuesday, Jan. 7 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Rison Baptist Church, organizer Stacy Walz has announced.The drive is held through Our Blood Institute. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged by visiting obi.

Pesticide Applicator Training Jan. 7

RISON - The Cleveland County Cooperative Extension Service will be conducting a Pesticide Applicator Training session on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds, beginning promptly at 6 p.m.
