RISON - A family in the Randall area is recovering from a house fire Monday that sent a mother and her two young sons to the hospital.
The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department reported that it received a call from Hannah Reynolds at 10:15 a.m. Monday, March 23, reporting that her home was on fire. The Woodlawn Fire Department was dispatched to the scene as well as the EASI ambulance service and Sheriff Jack Rodgers.
The sheriff’s department reported that it received a second call from an unidentified person at the scene that Hannah and her two young children were suffering from smoke inhalation and burns. All three were transported to the hospital by ambulance and later released.
Jacob Reynolds, Hannah’s husband, told KARK Channel 4 in Little Rock that his wife saved their two children. “She had to jump out the back door and run around the house to get to the kids, and then she dragged them out,” he said.
The sheriff’s department said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
