RISON - Rison Shine Community Development, Inc. is proud to announce a one-night-only event to benefit two organizations in Rison - the Rison Volunteer Fire Department and the Rison Starz Dance Academy.The dancers and firefighters are joining forces for a Dancing with the Rizon Starz and Firemen dinner at 6 p.m. Friday, July 25 at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds.Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 10 to the public. A limited number of only 160 tickets will be available for purchase from a Rison Starz dancer or Rison firefighter. Tickets are $30 for an individual or $50 for a couple. The ticket includes live dancing, dinner and access to a silent auction.The unique event pairs a Rison Starz dancer with one of Rison’s firemen for a friendly dance competition to raise funds for the dance studio’s roof repairs and the fire station’s equipment upgrades.Dancing at the event are Ansley Hornaday and Travis Bell, Cayla Johnson and Alan Parnell, Mallory Stuckey and Triston Ward, Haven Culpepper and Lee Freeman, Annalin Dean and Brylan Wells, Marcella Castillo and Kendrick Whitaker.More details, including silent auction items and guest judges will be announced soon....
