The Prosecuting Attorney handles all criminal and civil forfeiture matters in Calhoun, Cleveland, Columbia, Dallas, Ouachita, and Union Counties in the State of Arkansas.Rainwater, who has held positions in his professional career as an attorney as a State and Federal Public Defender, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, and private practitioner across Central and South Arkansas since 2012, stated, “After much reflection, prayer, and encouragement by friends, family, and colleagues, I have decided to seek this position. I believe my experience as a State and Federal Public Defender and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney make me uniquely qualified to serve in this important position.”Rainwater is a partner in the law firm Magnolia Law, PLLC (formerly Crane, Phillips & Rainwater, PLLC and Crane & Rainwater, PLLC), located in Magnolia, where he maintains a diverse practice. Rainwater concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation, probate, and real estate. Since 2017 Rainwater has been and continues to serve as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the 13th Judicial District where he handles all manner of felony criminal cases, as well as civil asset forfeitures. As a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Rainwater has acted as the Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Columbia County and routinely handles conflict cases and special assignments across the 13th Judicial District.
